Cameron Martin

Martin was one of the team captains for George Washington last year, the only junior to earn the honor. He earned team MVP honors as well. Last season Martin made 72 total tackles including 42 solo efforts, had five interceptions and seven pass break-ups. He earned all-district and all-region honors, and was voted Western Valley district defensive Player of the Year.

Coach Dan Newell: "I defer to what the colleges tell me, and they like the way he plays the run from the safety position. Cameron really fills the alleys. It's one thing to get there, but he gets there and he's a fearless tackler. One coach described him as ferocious. He's not the biggest guy yet, but he plays with great leverage. Cameron has deceptive closing speed. He gets his hand on a lot of passes."
