TSL Poll: Virginia Tech’s Toughest Road Game

The Hokies play six games on the road this season.  Which will be the toughest?

Purdue: This will be Tech’s first trip to Purdue.  Though the Boilermakers haven’t been very good, this will be an entirely new setting for the Hokies.

East Carolina: The Pirates are always excited when an ACC school comes to down.

Miami: Historically, it hasn’t mattered whether or not this game was played at home or on the road.

Boston College: In Tech’s last six games at BC, both teams have won three games apiece, and both teams have scored a total of 130 points.  It doesn’t get any closer than that.

Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets are considered to be the favorite in the Coastal Division.

Virginia: Will the Hoos be up for what might be Mike London’s swan song?

  1. GT, simply due to the quality of the opponent. Not at all related to atmosphere.

  2. Miami. Much easier to beat them when they have to travel up north and play in cold weather. We got completely run over last year and I’m concerned that we haven’t fixed the problems which caused that to happen.

With GT, we always seem to play well against them. Even though they’re a good team, they’ve lost some key pieces from last year, and we should have beat them last year anyways.

    1. Did not vote for either But the Whoos are much tougher at home than on the road even when they are not really very good.

  3. Georgia Tech, usually Home Cooking for VT. Next Boston College, sleep at the wheel for VT. Been to both places several times and always figure VT can lose. IMO, GT this year we lose , Boston College we win…

    1. VT plays bad @ BC is a myth!

      @ BC: 7-4 all-time
      Last 1: 0-1
      Last 2: 1-1
      Last 3: 2-1
      Last 4: 2-2
      Last 5: 2-3
      Won 5 in a row games 6-10: 7-3
      Last 11: 7-4

      1. I’m looking at recent history and we are .500 in our last 6 games there.

It seems to be a noon game on a Sat in front of a stadium that is half asleep. We don’t seem to play as well as we should at BC and it has cost us a few times.
