Fuller named ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year

Kendall Fuller has been named ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year.  Fuller was one of seven freshmen to receive votes.

Ryan Janvion, Wake: 5 votes
William Likely, Maryland: 4 votes
Nate Andrews, FSU: 4 votes

Fuller finished fifth in the nation with six interceptions as a true freshman.  He defended a total of 16 passes this season, and he also finished with 2.5 TFL and 0.5 sacks.

A total of seven Virginia Tech players were named to the All-ACC team on Monday.

  1. Cognrats to both Ke Fuller and Facyson. We’d be lucky to keep both of them all 4 years.

  2. Congratulations to you Kendall! Great job. I also hope this shows our coaches that the number of stars can make a difference.

    1. True but Fayscon was not far behind Kendall and he was a 3 star(vs a 5). Without his injury, BF may have beaten out KF. Both are outstanding.

  4. I think Brandon Facyson would have been ACC Def Rookie of Year if werent for his concussion

    1. I think you might be right, he also got bumped with the return of Exum, his playing time decreased and the couple that with being hurt. His reps don’t compare to Fullers. They both played ridiculously well for being freshman, kudos to both players!
