  1. I think we might be looking at another running backs coach except for his name, and I don’t mean the name Shane.

  2. Maybe it is just me, but it seems that Shane is a fish out of water when it comes to coaching the running backs. IMO the Hokies need a RB coach who has played the position. Shane might be better suited as a Special Teams Coach.

  3. How much influence does Shane have over the RBs in the offensive system? I just wonder when the lack of development of the RBs comes back to him. In 2010, we were 14th in rushing, 2011, 27th, last year you want to say is an anomaly, but this year is proving the same.

    And granted the RBs in the fleet nowadays aren’t like previous years backs and the age/experience is not there, but just want to know if this keeps being a trend does Shane carry any blame?

    Or, do his duties only go so far?
