    Seems like Delany's

"stupid" move might be the tipping point. Great move by B1G, UMD and Ruts all around. Make no mistake, Delany has it out for JS - he is a very smart yet spiteful. The B1G (Delany) has more interest in crushing the ACC than does Slive and the SEC. Yes - the SEC wants into VA and NC but is not necessarily looking to crush the ACC like Delany is. Better hope that JS does not "steer" UNC to SEC to try and get back at Delany. UNC is #1 target for both SEC and B1G. UVA is 2A and VT is 2B. Bottom line - SEC and B1G would take either VT or UVA if it meant getting the big prize = UNC. That is why we better hope (if you want VT to SEC) that UNC does not go SEC and go as a package with UVA. VT would still be fine as part of the B1G.

I think they want to smash ND (the ACC's just collateral damage)

He's had a week to firm things up with seemingly no success. Seems like more smoke than ever today. I guess the bottom line is unless he can offer revenue to match the SEC & B1G it's a losing battle, and the only way he could possibly pull that off is Notre Dame - quickly. The fate of all these schools rests with ND.

The only way they can smash ND is to make sure that ND is left out in the cold and nowhere to go at the end of the day. Thats not going to happen. ND is to big for that. Hell, the PAC12 would take ND. That said, this could force ND's hand. If ND joined the ACC as a full member, then I think the ACC is safe and noone leaves. That would bring the ACC revenue potential on par with the SEC and BIG. If ND slow plays it and the ACC crashes, then they'll land somewhere if need be, be it the Big12 or even the PAC 12. Delany isn't going to smash ND, just won't happen.
