end of the day, it isn't worth it imo. in the grand scheme of things, unless we go to 4x 16tm leagues as mandated by the US Congress, there will be 5 conferences - distances, interests, etc will maintain that. B1G doesn't want more teams. P10 doesn't want more teams unless tu decides to move west. SEC is probably happy where they are. So who is left? If B12 wants FSU/CU, then ACC picks up some combination of ND/UConn/SUNJ. Odds are B12 also picks up Lewsiville and Cincy to get to 14 teams.
End of the day, nothing changes. You still see the same teams lining up to play VT (losing a home game vs FSU every 4 years doesn't even register as a meaningful loss to me). We still have a great home for our athletics (easy drives to MD, UVA, WF, Dook, UNC, + NCSU for most folks in our "core") and a home that fits. People are trying to make things too hard.
