However, my bigest problem with the original "new" deal was when Swofford gave away the ACC birth right. There is no way in hell the ACC should have sold it's 3rd tier rights so cheaply.
This currently deal is for 15 freakin' years. It would have been better to get a little less money and sign for 5 years, and keep the 3rd tier rights.
SEC: 205 million/year. About 17.1./school. Doesn't include Tier 3.
Big 12: 150 million/year. 15/school. Doesn't include Tier 3. Expected to get more soon and retain Tier 3.
Big 10: 212 million/year. About 17.7/per school. BTN included but could pay out more than projected. I believe Tier 3 still controlled by individual schools, but I am not sure.
ACC: 240 million/year. About 17.1/per school. Includes Tier 3.
If the ACC's contract didn't include Tier 3, it would be great, but it does. 20-25 million with tier 3 would have been nice.
