our company's minority owner used to bring his flanders bouvier in... very good guard dog, naturally calm, naturally heeled to whoever was alpha, very cool dog. might have lowered stress because it was very calming if he came over to lay down next to you.
but then the majority owner had to step in and prohibit pets because a couple of customers felt intimidated (the type that's afraid of any dog).
One day, one of them got into some candy that someone had in a backpack on the floor and that little dog was the most hyper dog in the history of canines for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, it apparently forgot its manners and ran on a full sprint from one side of the office to the other (they had an open floor plan) and then marked its territory right on the vp's door. He was less than thrilled.
Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days.
We've got a chocolate lab that wandered onto the minesite and was pregnant. She had her puppies and everyone took care of her. The environmental manager takes her home every day and brings her bag. She wears a yellow safety vest all the time and always cheers everyone up.
Dore is a good mine dog.
short skirts + low cut tops are really distracting at work. God bless 'em for pulling it off but it just ain't right.
