The big money comes from TV revenue so why doesn't the NCAA give up on the 22k to 40k+ areanas in the same cities every year and move these games around to a bunch of 13k to 16k venues in smaller locales, changing each year. Would create local excitement. Would cretae a better in-game experience. People would come to the game regardless of who was playing. Reality is this stuff is old hat in Atlanta, St. Louis, etc.
Arena in St. L is 30% empty for UNC game, and ATL is 30%+ empty for the Baylor Highlighters
