that's what you say about Seth!
I like SG but....Someone who can coach an offense.
I agree with Gregg Marshall. He's a Roanoke native & still has family in the area. He won the Big South almost every year he was at Winthrop & he's done very well at Wichita State.
very simple answer....Brad Stevens.
He can do alot better than VT
Let's get a coach that want's to come to VT and make a name for himself and build a great BB program.
That may take a new AD, but it's douable.
I think it would involve a search, and the result of the search would be a very young guy, possibly an assistant, or even a great HS coach.
I doubt anyone on this board could know his name. But he's out there somewhere.
We most likely will have to rolll the dice....maybe a couple of times. And I wouldn't worry about getting another Stokes. I doubt there exists anyone with less coaching ability on the planet.
Weaver's not gonna replace Seth, like you said...buyout won't happen. Personally I'd replace him with anyone who has been an assistant under Coach K (except Jeff Capel),has been a proven recruiter and knows how to run an offense.
It's BS. Great players will play for a great coach anywhere.
FB recruits often come from the same places. We just got one that when asked by a fellow recruit "Why do you want to go play football in the mountains?" He replied, "Because they have a great coaching staff and it felt like home".
So I'm not buying this strawman arguement. Get the right coach in here with the right temperment and staff and vision, and then watch it happen.
