    "bump" threads feature

I enjoy the new bump thread feature that bumps popular discussions to the top. However, after7 days or so I don't really want to see that anymore. Just suggesting maybe an "if then" statement to say like, if thread is > 5 or 7 days old, dont bump it anymore and let it scroll out? Does anyone else agree?

Each individual can set this as they wish. Towards the top of the page, click on "Forum Actions", then "General Settings", and then scroll down to "Thread Display Options". Set the "Default Thread Age Cut Off" to whatever value you like (probably "Show threads from last week" in your case), then "Save Changes" and you should be good to go

I'll have to drill down into vBulletin's options and have a look. I know that you can close a thread after a certain number of posts, but there might also be a setting to close a thread after certain number of days.

I don't think that's what hokiety is looking for. That option shows you any threads with activity within the specified timeframe. A post from a year ago that was bumped today will still be visible
