    Fascinating story...and shocking that it took this long for national media to take an interest. Here's a good overview from the reporter in Raleigh that has been pursuing it for the last couple of years (and this doesn't even include agent issues, recruiting violations, parking tickets, PJ Hairston, and the variety of sub-plots surrounding this):
