Lots of our bowl teams this year enhanced our image, not just FSU.

Clemson for their BCS win, beating Ohio State.

Syracuse and Pitt for entering the conference with nice wins.

Louisville and UNC for winning big.

Duke for proving they could compete in a big bowl game.

Maryland for losing on the way out. See ya!

Notre Dame even helped out with their win.

Leaving just a couple of us, VT, BC, and Miami who didn't help out at all.

A solid performance, IMO, that is equal in respectability to anyone this year, even the SEC, given that both their BCS teams lost.

Makes me wish even more that LT didn't take that dirty hit. Don't know that we'd have won,?but pretty sure they score 14 less and we score 7-10 more

How does FSU's win enhance the rest of the ACC? They destroyed every ACC team they played, but barely beat Auburn, who was a few miracle plays away from losing multiple games this year.

Simple. "if it bleeds then we can kill it" describes that the perception of the SEC has changed. Sure it is a tough conference, but by no means is it invincible, as FSU and other teams proved this year.

Nobody in the ACC was even close to beating FSU. No one was even in the same league as them. FSU and Auburn were for the most part equal. How does that make the rest of the ACC look better? If FSU routed Auburn we would have a point, but they didn't.

It's so much that the ACC looks better, it's that the ACC would look worse if FSU had got blown out as it looked 21-3.
