That won't be easy with the team we will have. We just lack spot up shooters. I don't think JJ will last but this gig will help his resume down the line to get another head coach job

    LOL, I loved this response

Yep, ECU gave Ricky Stokes a head coaching job in which he confirmed his coaching incompetence(but he could recruit).

Spot up shooters is the last thing we lack, we lack depth at the PG spot and an offensive threat on the block. This team is has the highest 3p% in the country right now. Eddie, Emelogu, Smith, Wood, and Johnston are all 3 point specialists.

Agreed. We need a good pg and some post players. We are really bad down low.

I think JJ gets at least 2 more years. I think we will start to see real improvement next year.

As for who we get after Johnson, I think we need to at least wait and see who the next AD is. And see what the landscape looks like in 2 or 3 years.

    James Johnson. Without question.

Unlike your run-of-the-mill message manic/depressive board fan who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, the people in Blacksburg know what a mess Seth left JJ and understand that the situation will not be turned around overnight.

You think he'll be coach "without question" not just at the start of next season but also in the fall of 2015? That seems overly optimistic.

The people in Blacksburg. JJ's problem is his new boss isn't in Blacksburg yet. A new AD is going to look at the results and if there is not significant improvement in 14-15 then the new AD will most likely move on. Not all JJ's fault but the timing worked out that way.

James Johnson. Freshman class is already producing and he's bringing in another great class.

The basketball program is garbage. Losing to elite teams is a bit different from getting your ass kicked by mid-majors like VT does under him.
