Since when has bowl season ever been fair?

And it's nice to see him going to bat for Duke there. I mean, after all those times he pulled strings to get us in the NCAA Tournament when we were on the bubble, it's nice to see him spreading the love.

Completely and totally different situations. But if you don't think he helped us with the Sugar Bowl bid then just keep on the conspiracy kick.

No trees were harmed in the making of this post. However, billions of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

Bingo. Not sure everyone else in this string gets THAT. We never complained when we were beneficiary of 'lobbying' on our behalf. Let's all take our lumps of reality and not be in this position next year.

No argument the Duke football team has earned a better bowl than Miami, but team performance has never been the only factor. Fans in the seats, and fans in front of the tube are major, major drivers. And while Miami won't put fans in the seats they will certainly put fans in front of the tube. A major factor that makes them more attractive than Duke. May not be fair to the players, but no one ever promised that life was fair.

    Cheers,

    Bobby

Wow, if this is true. Must be nice to be one of the chosen programs that the commissioner goes to bat for.

and he did this by kidnapping Leeman Bennett's grandkids? Lol...wow. Explain how anyone in the ACC office could influence the pick...

Seriously? The bowls sign contracts with the ACC. Their partner is the ACC, not the teams. They by and large will do as the ACC asks them, within reason.

The game, as has been stated elsewhere, is already a technical sellout. The bowl is thus getting their money and would very likely be open to working with their partner on matchups.

What is the point of that? Duke doesn't make more by going to the CFA.
