Terrell Edmunds to Wear No. 25 for Virginia Tech vs. Clemson

If you’ll recall, Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmunds converted a huge fake punt play vs. Clemson in the 2016 ACC Championship, a play that ignited Virginia Tech’s furious second half comeback that fell just short. On Saturday, Virginia Tech is hoping the No. 25 jersey will help Edmunds work a bit more magic.

Head coach Justin Fuente announced on Thursday that Edmunds, a redshirt-junior, would wear the No. 25 jersey for Virginia Tech’s showdown vs. Clemson on Saturday night.

Edmunds, who moved to free safety this season, has recorded 20 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack in 2017. Edmunds is now wearing No. 25 for the second time in his career, after being chosen for the honor vs. Arkansas in the Belk Bowl.
