Virginia Tech freshman wide receiver Caleb Farley will likely miss the season with a knee injury suffered in Tuesday’s practice, head coach Justin Fuente confirmed Thursday during a press conference.

Farley posted this on his Twitter account.

A member of the 2017 recruiting class, Farley enrolled in January and showed promise as a freshman likely to play a significant role in the 2017 season. He spent most of the spring on defense, then switched to wide receiver late in the spring. He made several impressive plays on offense in the 2017 Spring Game, including catches of 36 and 15 yards and a 16-yard run on a reverse.

  1. Ugh this really stinks. I know injuries are part of the game but it’s so frustrating. It’ll be hard to replace his athleticism. Get better Caleb!
