Virginia Tech announced today that wide receiver Damon Hazelton has enrolled at Virginia Tech for summer school. Hazelton, a transfer from Ball State, will sit out the 2017 season per NCAA rules (he’ll practice with the team), and will have three years of eligibility beginning in 2018.
As a true freshman in 2016, Hazelton was Ball State’s second-leading receiver with 51 catches for 505 yards (9.9 ypc) and four touchdowns in nine games. Hazelton announced his intentions to transfer to Virginia Tech last month.
