Virginia Tech announced on Friday that tip-off times for men’s and women’s basketball games on Dec. 28 have been moved up earlier in the day, in order to accommodate fans who wish to watch the Camping World Bowl in the afternoon.

The men’s basketball game vs. North Carolina A&T, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. and then moved to 1 p.m, has been moved again to 12 p.m. The women’s basketball game vs. NC State, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., has been moved to 2:30 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket to the men’s game will be allowed to stay for the women’s game.

The move should allow fans to leave Cassell Coliseum in time to watch Virginia Tech football take on Oklahoma State in the Camping World Bowl. The Hokies’ bowl game will start at 5:15 p.m., and will be televised on ESPN.
