Virginia Tech capped off an impressive week on the recruiting trail on Sunday, as defensive tackle Cam Goode announced his commitment to the Hokies.

Goode is a 6-foot, 317-pound defensive tackle from Washington D.C. The 3-star lineman recently released a top-8, including the Hokies. Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Michigan State figured to be the top competition for Goode’s services.

Virginia Tech has added four commitments over the last four days. The Hokies added defensive back DJ Crossen on Thursday, offensive lineman John Harris and defensive end Eli Adams on Saturday and now Goode on Sunday.

Goode is the second defensive tackle to commit to Virginia Tech for the Class of 2018. Along with Joe Kane, Goode will provide depth and a numbers boost to a thin position. The Hokies are likely done at defensive tackle for the ’18 class, but a spot will be available for Alim McNeill if he wants it.
