Virginia Tech is having a heck of a day on the recruiting trail, as they’ve now taken in two commitments. Defensive end Eli Adams is the latest.

Adams is a 6-foot, 230-pound defensive end from South Pointe High School in South Carolina. He’s rated as a 3-star recruit by Rivals, and holds offers from schools like NC State, Maryland, East Carolina, South Carolina and Kansas State.

Virginia Tech has now landed both John Harris and Eli Adams this weekend. It’s the third commitment this week — DJ Crossen committed on Thursday — and the 12th commitment overall for the Hokies. Adams is also the first defensive end so far. Depending on who else might want to come aboard, Virginia Tech might be comfortable taking only Adams in this cycle.

  1. Welcome to the Hokie Nation Eli….We’re GLAD to have you as a Hokie..You’ll be just a glad to BE a Hokie!!

  2. Eli’s coming off the edge to sack the QB. Good to have you on board.

If you like a good diner style breakfast I would recommend Joe’s Diner and order the Big Joe’s; though you will have head to the gym soon afterwards to burn off all the calories.

    GO HOKIES!!!

  3. Wow! Great decision Eli. We need your position and that gets you ready earlier.
