Thanks to a 12-1 start and an 89-75 route of then #5 Duke, the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team has jumped into the Top 25.  They join the football team and women’s basketball teams in the polls, and it marks the first time in school history that all three programs have been ranked at the same time.

Here are the current rankings for all three sports, starting with football…

AP: #18
Coaches: #19
Playoff: #22

The football team should move up in all three polls after their 35-24 Belk Bowl victory over Arkansas.

The women’s basketball team is still in the rankings after a 13-0 start…

AP: #18
Coaches: (yet to be released this week, but #20 last week)

Finally, the men’s team cracked the rankings in both polls…

AP: #21
Coaches: #23

Virginia Tech is one of just four programs who are currently ranked in all three sports, joining Florida State, Louisville and West Virginia.  Three of those four teams are in the ACC.
