Virginia Tech’s annual rivalry game with UVA will kick off at noon next Saturday, and the game will be televised by ESPN2.

UVA is 2-9 on the season with wins over Duke and Central Michigan. The Cavaliers have not won a game since October 1.  They have not defeated the Hokies since 2003, and they have not won in Blacksburg since 1998.

The Hokies are 8-3 and coming off a huge 34-31 comeback victory at Notre Dame.  Tech has a lot to play for because a win over their in-state rivals would clinch the Coastal Division title and create an ACC Championship Game matchup with the Clemson Tigers.

  1. Well, that sucks. Once again, the Hokie Nation gets screwed by ESPN with a noon start for our biggest rivalry game. To top it off, VT will get no national tv eyes on the game since ESPN/ABC has OSU-Mich at noon too.

    1. Yeah, how does Duke/Miami get 3:30 on the same network? That game means nothing and Miami has the most fair weather fans in the country. None of them are tuning in and a 4-7 Duke isn’t even playing for a bowl game.
