“Really Outgoing” VT Coaches Impress Tight End Drake DeIuliis

Virginia Tech is one of six schools that have offered Providence (Charlotte, N.C.) tight end prospect Drake DeIuliis, who hopes to make his college choice sometime before the start of his senior season. DeIuliis was in Blacksburg last Saturday making what was his third visit to Virginia Tech overall.

“It was my first time seeing the team practice. It was good to see what things are like on the field. It was really helpful,” DeIuliis said.

“I saw that the tight end will really be used there,” DeIuliis noted. “Coach Fuente said they are running low on tight ends so they need more. He wants to use me like he uses Bucky (Hodges), lining me out wide, kind of like a hybrid tight end.”

Boston College, Duke, Minnesota, South Carolina and Wake Forest round out the list of schools that have offered the 6’6″, 215-pound junior, who, in addition to Tech, has also visited Duke, South Carolina and Wake Forest. He has plans to return to Wake Forest and South Carolina this week.
