Stonewall Jackson (Manassas, VA) safety/running back prospect Reggie Floyd was at Forest Park High School (Woodbridge, VA) last Friday, on hand to watch fellow class of 2016 prospect Eric Kumah make his college announcement. Floyd was pleased to hear the 6’3”, 205-pound wide receiver announce for Virginia Tech, the school he committed to almost four months ago.

Floyd, whose team played against Forest Park last season (Forest Park won, 33-20), discussed what Kumah’s commitment means for the Hokies football program.

“It’s a lot. He’s a very explosive receiver. He can play also on defense if he wanted to. He’s just an all-around player, so with him committing to Virginia Tech’s it’s going to make 2016 a much better team,” Floyd said.

Virginia Tech’s 2016 Class “is really good,” Floyd added. “I looked at a couple of the corners that committed, and also some of the offensive side players. If we all played together in high school I’d say we would win the state championship. Us going to Tech together, it’s going to be a good thing.”
