In a highly talented Coastal Conference, Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) junior Phillip Patterson earned 2014 second-team all-conference honors at both wide receiver and defensive back.
“It was a breakout season for me,” said Patterson, who amassed 403 receiving yards and five touchdowns and racked up 43 tackles and six interceptions.
Major FBS-level college coaches, including head coach Frank Beamer and company, have taken notice.
“I have two offers for defensive back and the other six are for wide receiver,” Patterson said. “The two schools recruiting me for defensive back are Duke and Virginia Tech.”
