A simple look at the advanced stats shows us exactly what Buzz Williams’ Hokies have been good at, and the areas in which they need to improve.  Today we’ll explore these numbers a little bit deeper, and compare them to last season.

Note that the Hokies have only played six games, which is a small sample size, and obviously their numbers will be affected by the quality competition in the ACC.  However, I think the numbers as they are now offer a glimpse of the strengths and weakness that this team will have all year.

This article focuses strictly on the offensive end.  Rebounding is a big issue for this team, obviously, and we’ll focus on the defensive numbers at a later date.  All of these numbers come from TeamRankings.com.
