Last week we talked about in-state recruiting in the state of Virginia from 1998 through 2005.  Today we’ll focus on 2007 through the present.

As noted in last week’s article, 2006 was a very important year in Virginia.  13 of the top 15 prospects went out-of-state, whereas 13 of the top 15 prospects had stayed in-state in the previous recruiting class.  Tech and UVA recovered somewhat after 2006, and though the numbers aren’t nearly as out of whack as some on the recruiting board will lead you to believe, things aren’t quite the same as they were before 2006, either.

Once we’re done looking at the year-by-year numbers, we’ll focus on a few topics.  Remember, these rankings come from Rivals.com.
