Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA) small forward Chris Clarke was a late addition to last week’s 2014 NBPA Top 100 Camp, but he made the most of his opportunity. Corey Evans of HoopsIntel.com (a TSL sister site), Rick Lewis of Phenom Hoop Report, and Paul Biancardi of ESPN all cited the 6’6” rising senior as one of the breakout performers of the camp.
In nine games at the Top 100, Clarke averaged 9.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest. His eight steals tied for second on his team.
“There are a lot of great players here. Just a great show to watch,” Clarke said in an interview last week. “I’m just meeting new people, trying to play as hard as I can, do the best I can for my team.”
Clarke, who plays for Boo Williams’ 17-and-under AAU squad, is one of Virginia Tech’s top in-state targets in the class of 2015. He took a visit to Blacksburg earlier this month.
