Defensive End Recruiting

Defensive end is Virginia Tech’s biggest need in the class of 2015. Last summer, it seemed as though Benedictine (Richmond, VA) product Clelin Ferrell, one of the top defensive end recruits in the nation, would ultimately end up a Hokie. Well, the 6’5″, 220-pound rising senior announced for the Clemson Tigers on Wednesday of this week.

Ferrell is a significant loss for Virginia Tech, but all is not lost in terms of defensive end recruiting. Here is a rundown of some of the defensive end prospects Tech has a real chance with at the moment

Jalen Dalton, a 6’5” prospect out of North Carolina, has Virginia Tech as one of his top schools. UNC may be tough to beat in the end, but Tech is high on the list.
