Hokies In Running For Florida Linebacker

Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, FL) class of 2015 linebacker Victor Alexander verbally committed to UCLA in November of 2013. The 5’10”, 225-pound prospect says he is about “90-percent” solid in his commitment to the Bruins, but he is exploring other options. Virginia Tech is one of those options, and Alexander was in Blacksburg for the Hokies Junior Day event last month.

Tech signed Trinity Christian product Isaiah Ford in last year’s class. Where do the Hokies stand for this talented prospect?

“Tech is another big one on my list. That is really something to think about. They are big in my book,” said Alexander, who visited Tech alongside his brother, Joey Lopes, on February 8. “I’ve been there. I’ve visited. I fell in love with the coaching staff. I fell in love with Coach Wiles. I connected with the coaches and that meant a lot. My brother went and loved it there, too.

“[The Hokies] are big for me because of their coaches and football-wise. The defense is top notch.”
