Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA) offensive tackle Austin Clark added scholarship offers from Miami and South Carolina last week, bringing the total number of scholarship offers he has received to the upper teens (he wasn’t sure if he had 16 or 17). In addition to the Canes and Gamecocks, the class of 2015 prospect’s offer list also includes Clemson, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech. California, Georgia, and Nebraska have shown interest as well.

Since attending Virginia Tech’s Junior Day on February 8, the 6’6″, 290-pound Clark has traveled to Tennessee and Virginia for visits. He plans to go to South Carolina’s Junior Day on March 29, and he has tentative plans to see Ohio State and Penn State in mid-March. Clark is working towards narrowing his list of schools.

“I’m staying pretty open, but in a month or two I’m going to narrow my list to five or six schools I really like,” Clark said when asked if he had any favorites. “December is the absolute time I plan on making my decision by, but it could come any time after I narrow it down. I’m not saying I’m going to decide in a couple of weeks or anything, but it definitely could happen any time after I cut my list down.”
