Tyler named Preseason All-ACC

The Preseason All-ACC squad was announced on Wednesday.  Jack Tyler was the lone Hokie who made the list.

Tyler, a rising r-senior, had 42 votes.  That was the most amongst all ACC linebackers.  He was followed by Christian Jones (FSU) with 38 votes and Kevin Pierre-Louis (BC) with 21 votes.

Other Tech players received votes, but did not make the squad.

Logan Thomas : 2 votes, tied for second amongst quarterbacks
Andrew Miller : 4 votes, fourth amongst centers
James Gayle : 20 votes, third amongst defensive ends
Derrick Hopkins : 7 votes, fourth amongst defensive tackles
Antone Exum : 21 votes, third amongst cornerbacks
Kyle Fuller : 7 votes, fourth amongst cornerbacks
Kyshoen Jarrett : 15 votes, third amongst safeties
Cody Journell : 5 votes, third amongst placekickers

  1. Attaochu making that list as a DE is a travesty. Can’t even tackle a QB but he’s somehow expected by the media to be one of the two best DE’s in the conference?

    1. Yep, especially for guys like Gayle and Fuller. I hope Logan takes it personally also.
