VT Too Good For Edmunds To Pass Up

With his parents by his side, Terrell Edmunds called primary recruiter Bryan Stinespring this past Monday night and verbally committed to Virginia Tech.  His next call was to his older brother Trey, who is a promising rising red-shirt freshman tailback at Tech.

“Trey always told me he wanted me to go to Virginia Tech, but he told me it was my decision,” Edmunds said.  “He just told me to pray over it, talk to mom and dad, and figure out what I wanted to do.  He was excited when I told him.”

Terrell, who will be a senior at Dan River High School (Ringgold, VA) next season, received a full scholarship offer from Virginia Tech in early March of this year.  He had visited Blacksburg several times before, but this past weekend’s trip to the Spring Game solidified his college decision.

“I’ve always been thinking about Virginia Tech,” said Edmunds, who also considered offers from Cincinnati and Hampton.  “Every time I went up there, they showed me so much love.  The way they treated me just kept pulling me toward them.  I just couldn’t turn it down.”
