Facyson Set To Enroll At VT

Add Northgate (Newnan, GA) star Brandon Facyson to the list of those recruits enrolling early at Virginia Tech.  Facyson, a 6’2″, 185-pound prospect recruited by Tech as a cornerback, has been accepted for January enrollment along with offensive tackle Parker Osterloh and quarterback Carlis Parker.

“I’m excited about it,” said Facyson, who arrives in Blacksburg on January 22.  “At first it was kind of a shock.  At the end, I feel like it’s the best decision for me.  I’m ready to get up there, play football, and get my grades straight.”

Less than a month before he is officially a Hokie, Facyson reflected on why he committed to Tech in the first place.

“Virginia Tech was my first offer.  Coach Gray is an excellent recruiter,” said Facyson, who gave his pledge to Frank Beamer on July 14 last year.  He chose Tech over offers from Georgia Tech, Louisville, UNC, and others.  “He has made me feel like part of the family from the get go.  He kind of separated Tech from the others.  He was flying down multiple times out of the year.  Others weren’t doing that.  I wanted to go to the team that best fits me, and I believe 100-percent in my heart that Tech is the place for me.  I can’t wait to play for Coach Beamer, Coach Gray, and all those guys.”
