Yesterday’s offensive performance wasn’t pretty, but the Hokies came away with numerous big plays in critical situations in the second half to beat Boston College.
Winning is Always Fun
Before we get into the specifics of the BC game, let’s take a quick moment to just be thankful for the win, in the spirit of Thanksgiving Week. Losing is no fun. The Hokies hadn’t won a football game since the first half of October, and perhaps we all took winning for granted a little bit. It’s not easy. There are 119 other teams who have 85 scholarship players, and they all want to win, too.
Boston College isn’t a good football team by any stretch, but a win is a win, and winning is always better than losing. The Hokies haven’t won two games in a row since they beat Georgia Tech and Austin Peay at the beginning of the season. It’s been a long, tough year. Here’s hoping that Tech starts a new streak, a winning one, and knocks off UVA next weekend.
