Teller Set For Out-Of-State Visits

Liberty (Bealeton, VA) defensive lineman Wyatt Teller still wants to make his college choice near the end of the summer.  Two continue to lead the way, while three others will get a chance to impress next month.

“UVa and Virginia Tech are in the top.  I think most people know that,” Eagles head coach Sean Finnerty said.  “Clemson, Michigan and Notre Dame are right there.  He wants to see them.”

The 6’5″, 272-pound Teller is coveted by both in-state schools.  He grew up a Virginia Tech fan and has been able to experience Blacksburg several times.  He has also taken multiple visits to the University of Virginia this year, most recently a trip to Charlottesville on June 10.  Finnerty believes it’s a tight race between the Hokies and Hoos, and he also feels those out-of-state programs are still very much in the running.

“Is there a clear (in-state) favorite?  No, but UVa and Virginia Tech are the solid top two just because he is more comfortable with them and he has been to both so many times,” Finnerty said.  “He is familiar with both campuses and the coaches at both schools.  One day he might favor one.  The next day he might favor the other.”
