Tech’s Offensive Linemen Were Highly Recruited

Welcome to offensive line week.  This week we’re going to take a closer look at Virginia Tech’s offensive line, their top recruiting competition for offensive linemen, and also compare Tech’s offensive line to other ACC offensive lines.

Offensive line play has probably been the biggest topic on TSL’s message boards for the last half decade (note from Will:  *cough* Bryan Stinespring *cough*).  Tech’s talent up front dropped off in a big way after the 2005 season, and it took the Hokies several years to rebuild.  The last three years have been a lot better, and though four starters are lost from last year’s team, a core of talented and experienced players return.

Today we’re going to take a closer look at Tech’s scholarship offensive linemen who will be competing for spots on the depth chart this August.  We’ll examine each player in terms of career starts, scholarship offers out of high school, strengths, weaknesses, etc.
