Farrow Covering All Angles In Preparing For VT

James Farrow came up with a unique idea while considering how he will prepare for college. The Virginia Tech-bound senior produced a questionnaire that touched on a variety of subjects pertaining to freshman life in college, and he sent it to primary recruiter and future position coach Torrian Gray.

“I asked him what some common mistakes true freshmen make in their first few months at school,” Farrow said. “I didn’t ask about playing time. That’ll take care of itself. I asked more meaningful questions. He really thought through the answers. I appreciate that. He said the biggest thing freshmen take time to adjust to is time management. I’m going to work on that and anything else I can to be as ready as I can when I get there.”

Farrow, a 6-0, 175-pound cornerback prospect out of Minnetonka High School in Minnesota, eagerly awaits the February 2 Signing Day, when he’ll officially become a Hokie.

“I actually have a countdown clock on my phone,” Farrow said. “I’m really looking forward to it. I don’t think it’ll be a huge difference. I’m 100-percent committed and I already feel like part of a family. I talk to a lot of the guys on Facebook. Coach Gray is coming up here on Wednesday, so it’ll be nice to have an in-home visit with him.”
