Reeves Set To Make Official Visit

Taking a weekend during what has been a breakout senior season, Eagles Landing Christian Academy (Atlanta, GA) star Christian Reeves will head to Blacksburg this week for an official visit to Virginia Tech. The 6-3, 220-pound prospect, committed to Virginia Tech since mid-June, is anxious to take in a Tech home game for the first time.

“I haven’t had a gameday experience, so that is something I’m definitely looking forward to,” said Reeves, who’ll arrive in Blacksburg on Saturday morning and leave Sunday afternoon. Hokies cornerback commit James Farrow is expected to take his official this weekend as well. “I want to check out the new locker room. I’ve heard it’s one of the nicest locker rooms and player lounge areas in the country. The campus is something I’m looking forward to, too. The past few visits I’ve made took place during the summer, so I’ll get to see what campus life is like with the students there.”

Reeves has turned in an excellent senior season performance. Projected as an H-back or tight end at Virginia Tech, he plays wide receiver for ELCA and has amassed 24 receptions for over 500 yards and seven touchdowns. He added a 45-yard rushing touchdown in last week’s 49-3 route of Landmark Christian Academy, a game in which he also had a 39-yard touchdown catch.

“I’m putting up a good year,” Reeves said.
