Jake Goins committed to Virginia Tech over Virginia just three weeks ago and he is pleased to no longer have to worry about recruiting.

“I’m glad it’s over,” he said. “I feel like I made the right decision.”

The 6-5, 285-pound right offensive tackle has turned his full attention towards Manchester’s (Midlothian, VA) 2010 season, which will be his last on the high school level.

“It has been quick,” Goins said of his high school career. “It’s kind of sad it’s almost over, but it’s also kind of exciting. I’ll miss these guys, but I’m sure I’ll find some more guys to hang with in college.”
