Q&A With Kris Harley

Originally, Virginia Tech commitment Kris Harley wasn’t sure if he’d make it to the Spring Game last Saturday. He ended up making the visit, though, because his parents wanted to see the place where he will spend four or five years after he graduates from Warren Central High School (Indianapolis, IN). The 6-2, 265-pound defensive tackle prospect answers questions on the visit, his commitment and more in a “Q&A.”

Harley arrived in Blacksburg with his parents on Saturday morning and returned home Sunday morning. He was the only Warren Central product to make the trek, but he says he and fellow rising seniors Kiaro Holts (offensive tackle who has been offered by Tech) and Nick Temple (linebacker) tentatively plan to return for the July Senior Camp.

One of the top defensive tackle prospects in the country, Harley committed to the Hokies over offers from Oklahoma and Southern Cal, among others. He helped Warren Central to a state championship in 2009, racking up 80 tackles including 18 tackles for loss and 7 1/2 sacks on the season.
