Hargrave Military Academy’s postgraduate squad escaped Fork Union today with a 6-0 win. Following the game, Virginia Tech recruits Theron Norman and DeAntre Rhodes took some time to reflect on the experience at Hargrave and to update their situations in terms of enrolling at Virginia Tech in January.

First up was the 6-3, 270-pound Rhodes. The talented defensive lineman out of Varina (VA) was part of a Hargrave defensive line that shut down Fork Union’s running attack on what was a cold, damp day and a muddy field. He manned a defensive tackle spot today but has been alternating between tackle and end throughout the season.

“I’ll probably be versatile at Virginia Tech too,” Rhodes said.

A big-time player out of Varina, Rhodes, who originally signed with Tech in 2009 but fell short of qualifying, appreciated being surrounded by so many talented players at Hargrave.
