Dinwiddie Junior QB Delivering Solid Season

Dinwiddie (VA) junior Chris Hall had never played quarterback before high school. One day his freshman year, a Dinwiddie coach asked him to come out and try out at quarterback. Showing off his arm strength by throwing an 80-yard pass, Hall was quickly moved to quarterback and earned the backup spot to all-everything signal caller Adam Morgan last season. This season, the 6-4, 220-pound prospect has been the leader of the Generals offense and has done well.

“The first game, I was very nervous because it was really the first time I had been the starting quarterback in my life,” said Hall, who played other positions such as running back and wide receiver while serving as Morgan’s backup. “The season is going great, but there are a couple of games where I know I could’ve done some things to step up my leadership and help put up a W for us. It’s not an excuse, but, me being young, I’ve had to work on everything week by week.”

In last night’s win over Prince George, Hall completed 11 of 20 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown as well. The win clinched a playoff berth for the Generals (6-4), who made the Division 5 state championship game last season.

Hall reflected on the improvements he has made throughout the season.
