H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.) senior quarterback Ricardo Young figures to be learning from Tyrod Taylor this time next season, but he was able to spend some time with the Hokies standout signal caller while making an official visit to Tech last weekend.

“We talked a lot about future stuff,” Young said. “I talk to him on a regular basis, so it wasn’t like I was just meeting him for the first time. The biggest thing he stressed is don’t take days off. Other guys are coming in wanting to compete. He said everything you do has to be a little faster than it was in high school. He also said defenses disguise their coverage better. Other than that, everything is kind of the same. I just need to be ready to compete.”

A student of the game, Young, a 6-1, 170-pound signal caller, paid close attention to Taylor and the offense during Tech’s win over Boston College. How does he feel his game suits Tech’s offense?
