6-4, 180-pound Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA) guard Ben Boggs signed a letter of intent last week, officially accepting a scholarship to play for head coach Seth Greenberg. It was a special day for Boggs, who verbally committed to Virginia Tech a little over a year ago.

“Probably the early commit was more exciting because that was the first thing, but there is no doubt that I am really excited to finally sign and become a Hokie,” Boggs said. “Both were really huge days.”

Last Wednesday morning, Boggs signed and then faxed in his letter of intent. He then called the Tech coaches to make sure they received it and spoke with every one of the Tech coaches, including Greenberg.
