Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA) athlete Antone Exum recently visited each of the two Division 1A college football programs in the state of Virginia, including taking in Virginia’s season-opening loss to USC and Virginia Tech’s victory over Georgia Tech last weekend. Deep Run head coach Greg Kendall commented on Exum’s experiences at both schools as well as the latest on his standout senior’s recruitment.

Of the Virginia Tech experience, Coach Kendall said, “Antone was over there. I think he thoroughly enjoys those coaches. He was very happy to be there and he made a good day of it. It was a good, successful trip. I know he was appreciative of being invited.”

Of the Virginia experience, Kendall said, “I think he has a real high opinion of the school. He loved the atmosphere there. I think there was a lot of excitement that day. I’m sure the Cavaliers were disappointed in the outcome, but I don’t think it hurt Antone’s opinion of them.”
