George Washington (Danville, VA) running back David Wilson boasts an impressive list of scholarship offers that includes Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Now comes the tough part. The 5-11, 190-pound speedster hopes to narrow his list of schools soon and could do so as early as next month.

“He is probably going to make some decisions in the next few weeks,” George Washington head coach Dan Newell said. “I don’t think anything will happen officially as far making any decisions until after the July 4th weekend. He has an idea of some things, but nothing is set right now. He is still considering all of those schools. He wants to try to get it to a manageable number by the end of the fall. I don’t know if he will make an early commitment. He may do that this summer, but I don’t know. He is planning on visiting some schools. The only one scheduled right now is Virginia Tech on July 7th.”

Wilson has previously toured Clemson, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Virginia. He has been to Virginia Tech as well but has yet to tour the school campus or the football facilities. Besides the visit to Tech, expect the rest of Wilson’s summer visits to be to schools he has yet to visit.

Newell added, “He also wants to visit some schools in the fall to see some game atmospheres.”
