Hokies Add Commitment #2 to 2009 Class

Virginia Tech’s summer camp sessions were tremendously successful each of the past two years. The 2008 version looks to be a success as well, as the Tech staff has already picked up a 2009 class verbal commitment from today’s camp.

This afternoon, Daniel High School (Pickens, S.C.) cornerback/kick returner Jerrodd Williams became the second high school senior to commit to Tech’s 2009 class.

“Jerrodd called me [earlier this afternoon] and told me he committed,” Daniel head coach Randy Robinson said.

“In talking to him about schools this spring, he mentioned Virginia Tech as one of the top schools he was interested in. He and his dad committed to going up there. They went up, he performed well, got the offer and committed.”
