6-6, 220-pound Logan Thomas , one of the top overall athletes in the state of Virginia’s 2009 class, picked up two ACC offers within the past week or so, pushing his Division 1A scholarship offer total to five. The Brookville (Lynchburg, VA) star has attended three junior days this month, including trips to North Carolina and Virginia each of the past two weekends.

“[North] Carolina offered me last week, when I was at their junior day,” said Thomas, who had previous offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. “Maryland offered me yesterday. Alabama hasn’t offered, but my coaches are saying that one probably will come soon.”

Thomas, who played quarterback and linebacker/safety last season as a junior, discussed his junior day experiences at North Carolina (February 16th) and Virginia (yesterday).

“I didn’t know much about Carolina, so it was all new to me there,” said Thomas, who also visited UNC for a football game last fall. “The fan support is the main thing there. And Coach [Butch] Davis said he wants to get back to where the program should be.
